Another supposed "missing link" has been found in the "missing link pile" in South Africa to replace the last missing link that didn't hold up to the proper missing link criteria. "We really really think this is it this time." scientists said. "We've got some bones & they look really really old." The skeleton was found by Professor Lee Berger, reader in human evolution and the public understanding of science at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, as he explored cave systems in Sterkfontein, a Unesco world heritage site. Reporters are pretty sure Prof. Berger isn't coming up with something just so he can get more grant money & be popular in the scienific world, but only time will tell. Odds are 5-1 that within a year these bone will be found to be another mistaken finding that will be retracted on page 32B of the Louisville Times.

Germans are denying their faith... in global warming
Germans have lost their faith in Pope Algore & global warming as a survey shows they just don't believe it any more. Some are theorizing it is because so many of the warm-earther scientists have lied about the evidence, although that never seemed to stop anyone before. Possibly it is because they had one the snowiest winters in years?

Scientists say A giant asteroid smashing into Earth is the "only plausible explanation" for the extinction of the dinosaurs,
There was a split decision not now scientists say a giant asteroid smashing into Earth is the only plausible explanation for the extinction of the dinosaurs. In a tight vote the asteriod beat out volcanic activity in the Deccan Traps in what is now India, where there were a series of super volcanic eruptions that lasted around 1.5 million years. Film of these volcanic eruptions were destroyed when the asteriod caused a giant tsunami which drown the film crew, killing all of the eye-witnesses. The scientists "have great confidence" that an asteroid is "thought" to be "suggesting" the cause of the KT extinction. A panel of 41 scientists from across the world reviewed 20 years' worth of research of 65 million years of "evidence" to try to confirm the cause of the so-called Cretaceous-Tertiary (KT) extinction. The scientists admitted to being speed readers

Is global warming making trees grow faster?
Scientists for the warm-earthers are telling us that global warming may be causing trees to grow faster. Ironically it is happening on the grounds of the Smithsonian Institues Environmental Reserch Center. Rumors are that soon tomatoes will be too big and start breaking the vines & watermelons will be too large to pick up.

Is "just" church enough?

I used to think statement like "It's more than just church" was a worthy goal. Now I'm not so sure. In Matthew 16 Peter makes a profound statement about who Jesus is & he responds to Peter "...on this rock I will build my church." as if the church was what Jesus wanted to build. The Church is the company of believers that Jesus is forming & anything we do as Christians should, one way or the other, be representative of that. As far as I know, that Christian Center is a real nice place & does lots of worthwhile things, but if Jesus says he's building a Church that is what we should be a part of, do we really need "more"?
