This is old news but I just found it & it's too good to pass up. Apparently a couple of years ago Katharine Jefferts Schori, the head bishopess of the American Anglican Church suggested merging with Buddism, stating, “The similarities between our two religions are striking” For some reason the Dali Lama didn't like the idea.
